…EVERYONE…

If I have ever told you about that friend I have from Rugby, who was doing some “Zwift-thing” online during the pandemic and led me back to the bike…THIS IS HER! 😍

Some of these comments are discouraging and disheartening and I won’t even waste my time with most of them – my advice to Kate and others is to keep riding and ignore the haters, you are a badass beeyotch and you have many more miles and mountains to conquer 😘

I think data doping, allowing any riders to compete in lower cats is probably a bigger problem. As for human rights. It’s a game. Reality check. As Trans Women we have rights to not have to put up with narrow minded bigotry.
If you’re worried about losing to Trans Women, then maybe try putting in the same amount of work as KJ obviously puts in to get to where she has.

This is at the heart of Zwift’s inclusivity goals: “Our mission, getting more people, more active, more often, promotes a healthier society. Through sports, we strive to break down barriers and bring people together. When we say “more people” we mean all people, regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation.” https://www.zwift.com/uk/news/27322-diversity-equity-inclusion-and-belonging

I’m really enjoying seeing a variety of articles featuring folks who are seasoned athletes to those who are just starting out, and I’m looking forward to many more! There are tons of people in the online community who aren’t just participants – they are builders, volunteers, coaches, and more.

KJ – you’re an awesome human – period. Thanks for sharing some of the struggles and joys you faced as you learned to race online.

I’m both proud and humbled to call you my friend and teammate. Giving time and space to the hatred on this comment thread isn’t worth my energy right now. Instead I will continue to support you and your work as a woman cyclists however I can. You are breaking down barriers and Inspiring so many!

Thanks, Rhys. I am a proud member of your team and appreciate the space we have created as a team with room for EVERYONE. Being one of the diversity advisors and one of our women’s reps in the club has not only let me contribute and add value as a teammate, it has taught me how to manage, listen, and lead better in a global environment.

Moreover, being invited to the team was the catalyst for me covering my health, and for that I am forever appreciative.
