So took my saris fluid 2 and this was unlike me didn’t check nah my hosts folding bikes (I’m being SUPER flexible here) 6 inch gap to roller (have the speed/cadence wahoo sensors and iPad).

If driving whole way no problem whatever take bike kickr heck climb. Snap is enormously heavy too so not much help here.

I think need to get “dumb” “Omnium over drive” progressive renaissance roller clamps FRONT axle and tons of axle options for front, 14 lbs has own bag (!!!) made for travel close to $500 but…$70b of wahoo sensors and a iPad and I can zwift on this weird Bike Friday that’s here in one of my stops or on anything really.

Tacx force 21 lbs cheapest smart trainer but limited through axle if that’s what people have to loan me (NO ONE does 16” wheels except the Omnium…the front fork setup can drop lower .. it’s made to be able to handle that pretty amazing).

For 22-24 lbs M2 or Tuo (don’t know by given dimensions which of three – along with 21 lb Tacx) take least room in one suitcase flat (maybe with unscrewing one part say) along with ALL clothes/shoes etc is clutch. The ‘mid range’ M2 and Tuo huge power and hill range… size folded and which does most through axles and wheel sizes may trump other things if weights within a few lbs so so tacz smart short term that $150 or whatetever difference is less than the amtrack ticket and … looking at this folding bike I can’t ride since don’t have the Omnium.

So if hard case for M2/Tuo (or if Tacz force does more axles then that too?) AND know compatable bike exists, harder but yeah? But if I want to KNOW I can ride anything, back to Omnium.

Performance/precision etc of trainer really worthless if can’t ride it at all. Looking around this travel issue doesn’t seem to be well addressed. At my clubs shop I asked if there might be some kind of special case for Snap and they said I wasn’t the first to ask. Cumbersome but instead of bike case a trainer hard case? Still need a bike it can accept tho. So yeah work on trainer hard case with wheels what suitcase that will work with if able to take my bike or KNOW compatable bike is available…but…keep coming back to Omnium.

Other thoughts? And yeah there’s that outside work it’s ok I could take the Bike Friday for a spin around NYC and Central Park…maybe the fresh air will do me good(?). But, SO easy clothes, time, safety, efficiency, and hey I’m PLAYING the zwift game not the 12 pairs of gloves for different weather game now.

As well as that, the quarq works on your outside rides too I guess.
